Guerlain Shalimar Ode A La Vanille 2013 - Sur la Route du Mexique is impressive!! Quite possibly people who do not usually prefer Shalimar could really love this. It is a somewhat more gentle warmer edition of the classic while not sacrificing the identity of what defines Shalimar. The leather note is actually tempered down thus for individuals who don't especially like the leather sting, be sure to have a go with Shalimar Vanille Sur la Route du Mexique! The smokiness is calmer here as well and it is a bit sweeter compared to the classic with a hint of caramel and not as much citruses. It is warm and comfortable and not really overpowering as the original. I love the classic Shalimar and am a big fan of the entire collection but I think Shalimar Ode A La Vanille 2013 is my perfect Shalimar love of all times.
