Oscar de la Renta Designer History:
Oscar de la Renta was born in the Dominican Republic on July 22, 1932. When he was 18, he relocated to Spain, where he learned painting at the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. Oscar de la Renta has also assisted in constructing a much necessary school and day-care center in the Dominican Republic for 1,200 children.

Oscar de la Renta is a tireless guardian of the arts. He functions as a panel member of The Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and Channel Thirteen/WNET. He is also on the panels of significant cultural organizations like the New Yorkers for Children, the American Society, and the Spanish Institute.

Oscar de la Renta Fragrance History:
In 1977 he presented his first women’s fragrance, Oscar. Presently, Oscar is a top seller in over 70 nations and is a winner of the 1991 Fragrance Foundation Perennial Success Award. In 1980, the house developed a fragrance for men, Pour Lui cologne and in 1999, the designer presented Oscar For Men cologne. Intrusion perfume for women followed in 2002 and two years later in 2004 fragrance, Rosamor perfume for women.
