Nautica Designer History:
Nautica was established in 1983 by David Chu. Initially he developed a series of men's outerwear that was futuristic in its smooth invisible combination of fashion design utilizing hi-tech engineering of materials and textiles. He selected the label Nautica to display a principle and idea that is eternal and evolves in time and to represent a way of living in vitality, recreational activities and physical well-being. In 1984, Nautica was sold to State-o-Maine, and is currently identified as Nautica Enterprises, Inc. The range has since broadened to consist of men's active-wear and sportswear.
