Gucci Designer History:
The Gucci house was first established as a saddle store in Florence in 1906 by a craftsman’s son named Guccio Gucci. He was born in 1881 with his initial expertise in the field of skillfully designed leather items. He began by marketing leather saddle bags for horse riders in the 1920’s and slowly developed to luxury travel bags as his customers moved from horse travelling to other means of transportation. Guccio Gucci opened their first retail store on the Via Condotti in Rome in 1938.

The well-known and instantly identifiable Gucci symbol, the bamboo handle leather bag, is designed In 1947. Obtained from its initial style positioned on a saddle girth the signature striped webbing is presented throughout the 1950’s.This turned out to be a symbol a lot like the leather loafer with leather piece.

Early on in the 1950's Guccio Gucci designed several of his classic items including travel bags, neckties, footwear, and the renowned totes having the unique bamboo handle. With his passing away in 1953, his family managed to take the greatly profitable business to new levels of success by starting retail shops in Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Palm Beach, and Tokyo. Hollywood stars like Grace Kelly, Peter Sellers and Audrey Hepburn made the brand Gucci synonymous with elegant style. Jackie Kennedy served by being photographed with the Gucci shoulder bag, which afterwards grew to be identified as the "Jackie O". This all folded out in the 1960's and helped deliver even greater success and reputation to the Gucci Empire. Later on the enterprise starts using the famous –GG- logo.

The reputation and popularity of the company also brought problems. Even though Gucci products were regarded as a status symbol of the time, administration and close family happened to have a different perspective. Guccios brother Maurizio Gucci had taken an obviously suffering company over from his brother who had first launched it, and consequently offered it for sale to an Arab investor who bought the company in the 1980’s

When Tom Ford was positioned as Gucci’s new chief In the 1990's, he helped Gucci in returning to epicenter of chic style and elegance by instructing a diverse collection of items such as leather fashions, fragrances, perfumes, colognes, makeup, cosmetics, footwear including the moccasin with the unique Gucci snaffle-bit, the famous –Flora Scarf- designed especially for Grace Kelly by Rodolfo Gucci, luggage bags, timepieces, jewelry, silk scarves sport items, belt buckles like the Guccio Gucci that was introduced in 1964, ties and eyewear.

The primary field of function of the Gucci Group N.V's in our times is creating, distributing and producing luxury clothing and fashion accessories.
