While its not an exact match the aquatic scents immediately brought back memories of New Wests invigorating ocean inspired essence. Cool Water has a floral undertone but it still captures that initial burst of freshness that fans of New West would enjoy. I find myself reaching for it often in the summer months to experience that feeling reminiscent of what New West used to offer.

The green tones supported by a rich foundation evoke memories of my cherished New West. 'Pleasures' showcases the lily note yet it retains the essence of freshness, cleanliness and a hint of woodiness of New West. While it doesn't substitute New West entirely it brings solace knowing a spirit resides within this bottle.

As someone who loves collecting fragrances I've come across scents but New West for women holds a special spot in my collection. Its lasting power and subtle yet noticeable presence throughout the day are truly impressive. The combination of notes, with hints of green and a touch of floral is truly captivating. I was lucky enough to snag a couple of bottles before it was discontinued. Its sad to think that once they're gone it marks the end of an era. This fragrance is timeless. I can't help but wonder why Aramis chose to discontinue it.

Giorgio Armanis 'Acqua di Gioia' brought a sense of optimism when I was, on the brink of abandoning my quest for a substitute to New West. The scent carries that essence with a touch of citrus that adds vibrancy. While it may not exactly replicate New West it comes closest in capturing that invigorating, outdoorsy aura I've longed for. Moreover its lasting power is a remarkable factor, to what I valued in New West.
