I love this perfume. I bought it and also gifted it to my cousin. He loved it too. This perfume is mostly noticed by women. Most of the time they ask "what are you wearing?" If you are looking for something to attract women and get compliments then I say go for it...

Been wearing this for quite sometime until one day I realize that the synthetic vibe from this frag doesn't quite please me anymore. Yes, it sure has the pleasing sweetness and the distinct masculinity from the fruit-musk-patchouli combo but upon reaching the dry down, one could not escape the engulfing chemical spillage emanating from this juice. The merit I can give to this frag lies in it's excellant sillage and longevity, although I'm not sure whether one prefers to smell like they drenched themselves in apple flavored chemical solvent all day. Still couldn't figure out how I managed to be loyal to this fragrance for months in a row. Chemical intoxication perhaps!

DUNHILL DESIRE by Alfred Dunhill: Like the candied apple at the carnival that always looked so good, tempting you with its glossy red hard candy coating—only to break your last baby tooth when you took a bite, Dunhill Desire has a bottle equally hypnotic—a ruby red hip flask—and a bite equally alarming. One spray and I felt I was in a public toilet with the cleaning staff. Another spray reminded me of a child getting sick in a school hallway. Too much undigested fruit after nibbling on rose petals and wood. There’s something nauseatingly cloying about this fragrance—as if this juice were the topcoat, a cover for something horribly nasty underneath. Someone had an accident—and I think it was Dunhill.

I actually used about a third of the bottle of this before realizing how badly I smelled. This stuff doesn't smell like any of it's notes, very overpowering and synthetic. I'm actually wondering if any of those top notes are even in the juice.
Desire is just stinky, kind of smells like body odor mixed with cheap spicy body spray. Not a good fragrance, it may render a lot of attention, but it'll probably be in an offensive way. The dry down is no better than the beginning either. This is one of those love or hate fragrances, I personally hate it. Nor am I really a fan of the Dunhill House in general.

Very, very sweet. Heavy, **dense**
Fruity-spicy. Monstrous sillage. Tends towards the screechy-metallic-synthetic side of the red cloud.
Simple, brash, unattractive verging on obnoxious.
